Where to Start?

Before using your new Allied Battery, fully charge it before your first use. Batteries are shipped with a partial charge, so topping them up ensures you're starting on the right foot.

Best Charging Practices

🔋 First Three Charges:

  • After the first full charge, run the battery down to nearly 20% before recharging for the first two cycles.
  • Do not let the battery discharge below 20% after these first few cycles to prevent over-discharge.

🔋 Regular Charging Habits:

  • After the first three charges, fully charge your battery every day you use your vehicle.
  • Allied Battery’s smart charger automatically shuts off when charging is complete—just look for the green light.
  • Avoid leaving the charger plugged in for several days at a time.

Daily Battery Maintenance

💡 Do I need to power off my battery after each use?
Yes! We recommend powering off your Allied Battery daily.

  • Lift the seat and turn the battery switch off to conserve power when not in use.

Storing Your Battery Properly

If you’re not using your cart for over a week, follow these steps to keep your battery in top shape:
✅ Ensure the key is off, and the cart is in "tow" or "off" mode.
Fully charge the battery before storing.
Turn off the cutoff switch to prevent battery drain.
✅ When you return, fully charge the battery before using it again.

Tip for Seasonal Users
If you're a snowbird, traveler, or seasonal user, this storage method will help preserve battery life while your vehicle is unused.

Planning to Upgrade Your Vehicle?

If you're considering adding a rear-facing seat, upgrading the motor/controller, doing a speed flash, or adding larger tires, be sure to check the Allied Battery sizing chart to confirm you have enough power to meet your vehicle’s new demands.
